Kailashahar town is the nagar panchayat and head-quarter of North Tripura district in the Indian state of Tripura.As per some believers Shiva resides in Kailash, due to which the places cane to be known as Kailash Har and which got its Kailashahar.Kailashahar was the ancient capital of the Tripuri Kingdom.Places of interest are Unakoti,Lakhi Narayan Bari,14 Deities Temple or Choudoo Devotar Mandir,Rangauti,More than 16 Tea Estates.
