Mandi is a city and a municipal council in Mandi district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh built on the banks of the Beas River which has a distinguished history and interesting architecture. It is also called "chotta Kashi" as there are many ancient temples in the cityat the confluence of the Suketi Khad stream, Mandi has at least 81 ancient Shaivite temples.
