Of course, it is safe if you are well prepared. Past this summer, I got this incredible opportunity to travel alone. My solo trip took me to the mountains of Kasauli – neither very far from Delhi nor very popular solo tripping choice. But that was just the beginning; I knew I had to start from somewhere to come out from my comfort zone and let my dreams fly. I remember how freaked out I was the first time I traveled alone, all by myself. And to be honest, sometimes I still am. It can be scary at times not to have anyone to back you up but dealing with uncertainties brings the best out of you. To become a confident individual, I encourage you to travel solo at least once in your life.   [more]

However, there are several places to visit in summer. But a month back I went to Coorg for 2 days. In my opinion, the monsoon is the best time to visit Coorg. Coffee plantations, waterfalls amidst misty weather looks perfect to spend some quality time. Plan a stay in Madikeri. Amanvana and few other resort are good options to stay. I mostly covered waterfalls during my trip and Iruppu falls is must visit.   [more]

Can any list of summer destinations in India be complete without the mention of Darjeeling? No, I guess! Surrounded by lush green tea plantations, Darjeeling is undoubtedly one of the best places to visit in summer for vacations. Ride in the pride of Himalaya- the cute toy train which runs through the tall forests of deodar giving you a majestic view to capture. A plethora of the activities are on the offer and the kind of views Darjeeling offer are something you need to experience to believe it. Bagdogra is the nearest airport in West Bengal and is accessible through road as well from New Jalpaiguri.   [more]

So last year, this was the time when I saw different shades of Dhauladhar range. Monsoon, as I experienced in Mcleodganj, is something that you need to experience too. I went for the Triund Trekking on a weekend and as my experience says, 2 days are enough for trekking and camping. Here is how I made my itinerary, read at The Sassy Nut.   [more]

Capital Territory of Delhi or NCT, is a city and a union territory of India.[13][14] It is bordered by Haryana on three sides and by Uttar Pradesh to the east. The NCT covers an area of 1,484 square kilometres (573 sq mi). According to 2011 census, Delhi's city population was about 11 million,[6] the second highest in India after Mumbai, while the whole NCT population was about 16.8 million.[7] Delhi's urban area is now considered to extend beyond the NCT boundary to include an estimated population of over 26 million people making it the world's second largest urban area.[8] As of 2016 recent estimates of the metro economy of its urban area have ranked Delhi either the top or second most productive metro area of India.[10][11][15][12] Delhi is the second wealthiest city after Mumbai in India, with a total wealth of $450 billion and home to 18 billionaires and 23,000 millionaires.   [more]

Hi We would like to thank your Sikkim guide Penjo and driver Santu for a wonderful holiday. Penjo is a great guide with lots of knowledge and great advice. He took excellent care of us and helped us with shopping. Santu is an excellent driver on some of the worlds worst roads. We felt safe at all times. There was a problem with our flights back to Delhi. The office made a mistake with the departure dates. Air India porter and on the ground female staff member had the problem sorted quickly. We were meet by Abby at Delhi airport where we were reimbursed for the new air ticket. Our Eastbound transport was waiting with cold beer, food and drinks. The driver was great and gave us an interesting commentary as we drove back to Bharatpeur. Remember Eastbound that the staff on the ground interacting with the guess are very important for a great holiday. We were disappointed that the guide was taking the blame for the offices mistake. Take care of your quality staff on the ground as they do their very best.   [more]
